  • Field Trip | Eastern Europe
Professionalisierung

Sustainable building is a politically topical issue throughout Europe and beyond. The interaction between architecture and technical aspects is a great potential, which guides the idea for our an excursion to Eastern Europe.

Three countries in one week await you, an excursion with a lot of diversity in terms of technology and architecture.
Our journey starts from Berlin with the night train to Vienna. We will spend a couple of days here tracing the history of Viennese architecture and exciting building projects. We might consider an excursion from Vienna to Bratislava - but not yet definite. From Vienna we will continue by train - to Prague. Here our excursion will conclude after a few days.

More detailed information about the route and the organisation will be given at a preliminary meeting.

This excursion is primarily aimed at first-year students, but some places will also be allocated to students from higher semesters.

// 1 SQ point will be awarded for participation in the excursion following the preparation of a presentation.

// Own contribution:
approx. 300€

  • Exhibition | “Lebenswerte Städte”
Professionalisierung

We are very pleased to be the first place after the Nordic Embassies in Berlin to show the exhibition "Liveable City - 28 x Urban Development in Denmark".

A city is not only made up of houses, it only becomes a city when there is life between the houses. How do you plan and build for this? A lot has happened since the era of modernist building sins of the 1960s with a lot of space for car traffic, which also left its mark on Denmark. The exhibition presents a number of examples of architecture and urban planning in Denmark that formulate answers to what the built framework for quality of life could look like. The exhibition is complemented by interviews and cinematic impressions of the projects. As a kaleidoscope of very different projects, the exhibition also aims to stimulate discussion: What actually constitutes a livable city, for whom are we building, and who may and can participate?

The exhibition is divided into seven thematic areas, each with four examples: Recycled City, The Citizen:s and their City, Open Spaces and Urban Nature, City on the Water, City & Bike, The Sustainable City, and City & Children.
